The Sail Malaysia Passage to Langkawi Yacht Rally is all set to embark on a thrilling adventure, as majestic yachts glide towards their final destination. Imagine yourself navigating through the emerald waters and being greeted with the jaw-dropping beauty of Langkawi’s captivating coastline.
The majestic yachts gracefully set sail, as if guided by the winds themselves, towards the tranquil shores of Rebak Island Resort and Marina. Nestled amidst the beauty of Langkawi, this marina is a true gem, boasting the distinction of being the only one in Malaysia with a hardstand and complete facilities. It is a haven for sailing enthusiasts, accommodating their needs with utmost care and expertise.
‘At Rebak Island Marina, we take pride in being the only complete facilities marina in Malaysia with a handstand pristine. Here, yachties are treated to a unique experience that extends far beyond the mere docking of their vessels. Indulge in a plethora of designated resort facilities, embark on thrilling activities, savour delectable culinary creations in an array of dining venues, and relax on your very own private beach’ – Said Hafiz Hashim, a visionary Cluster General Manager of Rebak Island Resort & Marina Langkawi.
‘Our private island marina enfolds yachts within its protective enclave, guarding them from the uncertainties of Mother Nature. As marina residents, you’ll find solace in our secure harbour while enjoying exclusive access to the facilities of Rebak Island Resort. – Ended Hafiz
Furthermore, Sazli bin Kamal Basha, the Managing Director of Sail Malaysia, elaborates on this remarkable initiative, saying, “In a departure from previous years, the Langkawi Yacht Rally bore witness to the stirring spirit of community as local residents joined forces with yachting communities to cleanse the breath-taking beaches of Pulau Singa Besar. This incredible collaboration, which included the invaluable support of Merikit Daat, Rebak Island Resort & Marina, Langkawi Development Authority, and Tropical Chartered, exemplifies our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the ethereal beauty of this island paradise for generations to come.
A collaborative effort involving 45 personnel from LADA (Langkawi Development Authority), Sail Malaysia Participants, Marine Department, the Customs Department, and other organizations, embarked on a 2.5-hour cleaning exercise. Glistening with enthusiasm, they worked tirelessly to collect 688 debris from the beach, showcasing their commitment to maintaining the pristine state of the island and preserving its natural beauty for generations to come.
Pulau Singa Besar welcomes you to a stunning unspoiled beach paradise covering over 1572 acres of sandy beaches, lush jungles, and jagged limestone. As you soak up the exquisite vistas, you might witness macaques, mouse deer, hornbills, peacocks, lizards, and eagles flitting around, celebrating the beauty of this tropical utopia.
